Off Page SEO ? The Number 1 Reason You Cannot Rank For Your Keyword Phrases!

A lot of online and offline businesses are trying to figure out how off page SEO can help them rank higher in the search engines. On page SEO is a well known factor of search engine ranking success, but most people are not aware of the value offered by proper off page SEO. The off page factors of your website may be the most important factors that determine whether or not you will outrank your competitors for your targeted keyword phrase.

So, what exactly is off page SEO? Well, it is everything that is not on page SEO! These are other factors besides your website content, title tags, on page keyword density, H1 & H2 tags, etc. that can drastically influence your search engine rankings. A quality link-building campaign is the absolute backbone of an off page SEO campaign, which is why building high quality backlinks has become such a popular topic in many SEO circles.

So, how do you build high quality links to your web pages?

Well for starters, you can write articles and submit them to popular article directories. You can write one high quality article, and submit it to hundreds of different directories. While many of these directories will not produce traffic to your website themselves, backlinks from high PR article directories are seen as very credible ?votes? for your website or blog.

At the end of your articles, you will be able to include a bio box or author resource box. You don?t promote your product or service within your article, but ?sell? using your author resource box. I have personally written over 800 articles online, and all of them have linked back to a various web property of mine. Just make sure that when you submit your articles to these high PR directories that you include your link in keyword rich anchor text. This means that instead of your website reading ?yourwebsite.com? it would read ?your keyword phrase? and link to your website. This is a powerful little off page SEO tactic that I do not see many people using.

In addition to writing high quality articles and syndicating them across the web via article directories, you can join a forum with your niche and create a signature file. A signature file appears at the bottom of each one of your forum posts, and as a result each post that you make counts as a link back to your website. I use forum marketing on a daily basis, because it kills two birds with one stone. You can get high quality links to your website, and you also get referral traffic from the forums themselves.

A third way to build high quality links into your website is blog commenting. You can find the most popular blogs in your niche, and add comments to each post on the blog. Make sure that you do not spam the blog with worthless content! Instead, write intelligent blog posts that contribute value to the blog community. One great tip with blog commenting is to find blogs that use the keyword luv command. This allows you to place your keywords in anchor text to link back to your website. This is very important, because as we discussed earlier backlinks that have the keyword phrase in anchor text are highly valuable.

There are a variety of ways to get high quality links to your website, and this is by far the most vital aspect of off page SEO. The off page search engine factors are just as important as your on page SEO, so you need to make sure that you have everything in order with regards to both aspects.

SEO is a very competitive field, because ranking highly in the search engines for your targeted keywords can give you a tremendous advantage over your competition. In order to do this, you must have both your on page and off page SEO optimization factors in order. If you have both of your bases covered, then you will see high rankings and more revenue for your online or offline business!
